Sorry, this is kinda' nasty...

It was done 5 months ago. Still oozing daily and forming crusties and getting stuck. It's not painfull all the time, but it does hurt if I touch it.

I don't think it's infected. How are you cleaning it? Looks irritated. Try using a sea salt soak a couple times a day for 10 minutes each time. Try not to touch it or bump it. Also, I'm wondering if that barbell might be a little too small.

mine is like this at the bottom piece too, I think this must be normal, I had it done nearly 4 months ago, I am glad i am not alone...hope we all heal soon..MJBT

just to let you know ,I soaked mine in sea salt ,for about 5 days and it cleared up ,it was really good. hope this helps .MJBT good luck.

I don't think it's infected. Mine looks like that, my piercer said it's irritated. Try titanium belly rings. They're more expensive, but they're a stronger metal that doesn't have the irritability 'ingredients', like nickel.
